Hands Up Canada has a vision of every Canadian getting the help she or he needs to have the basic necessities of food, shelter, clothing and an education. We work towards a better future for Canadians everywhere from those trying to survive in a large urban setting to those living in our most remote and harshest regions. We help women who flee abusive and traumatic situations; young children who find themselves torn away from familiar settings and left feeling alone and scared; elders who are isolated within their own communities and afar; the homeless who have a single sometimes impossible goal to stay alive on a bitter Canadian night. By supplying life necessities, learning skills and tools to gain employment we can help communities bettersupport their most vulnerable and marginalized members and empower them on their road to self-sufficiency.
